Full written procedures are in place for the compliance of management systems, and daily operations of the business.

All vehicles & trailers are pre-chilled to the correct temperature prior to loading in accordance with current legislations.

Frozen products maintained at -18°C to -25°C.
Vehicle cleanliness checks are carried out daily.
Weekly cleaning of all vehicles carried out. Daily cleaning checks reported and actioned.
Planning department on scheduling loads include full product description checks. Cooked food product not transported with raw products.
Vehicle thoroughly washed and sterilized between the carriage of different product type (ie. raw and cooked product).
Driver reports breakdown to Transport Office. Refrigeration unit maintained and monitored with load kept sealed, and doors kept closed until arrival of pre-chilled replacement vehicle or roadside repairs / recovery is completed without product compromise. Customer(s) are informed and kept updated with information regarding the breakdown. Breakdown is logged and temperatures recorded.
Driver reports breakdown to Transport Office. Load kept sealed and doors kept closed. Driver monitors the internal temperature at regular intervals. Customer is contacted for authorization of next steps in accordance with their product(s). If the haulier / supplier / customer is confident that the ambient temperature of the refrigeration unit will in no way affect the product, it will be delivered to the shortest destination (ie. back to depot, delivery location or nearest cold store). If none of these options are available, the haulier will provide a replacement vehicle, pre-chilled to the required temperature.

Pre-chilled replacement vehicle is provided if vehicle cannot be repaired at roadside. Customer(s) informed and kept up to date with information regarding the breakdown. breakdown is logged and temperatures recorded.

All vehicles and fridge units are on planned maintenance schedules, and all records are held.
A Nil Defect reporting system is in place daily, and records held.
Management checks carried out weekly on daily checks for day to day operations.
All drivers are fully trained in the daily operations and given written procedures
All drivers are issued with timely updates on Health & Safety, Manual Handling, Accident / Incident reporting and secure loading procedures to meet current legislations.

Customer complaints system in place to record and respond within time scales set, to achieve quality customer relations and quality service.
All vehicles are fitted with hands free mobile phone communication systems.
All vehicles are fitted with GPS Tracker Systems which allow 24 hour tracking of vehicle.
Tachomaster Digital Software is installed in our Transport Office for tachograph analysis on driver's hours and the working time directive.
